Stay Close!

Have you spoken with Him today? Did you take a moment to read a scripture to start your day? John 1:1 tells us that the Word (Holy Bible) is God, and it (He) has been here since the beginning. One the most effective ways to stay close to Him is through reading His Word. When in His presence, what things come to mind? I think of peace, protection, joy, strength, and so many other things.

John 15:7 ESV

"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

The Biblical definition of "abide" is to stay, continue, or dwell. Sometimes we tend to get distant or stray away from God , and that is the opposite of abiding in Him. With this discovery, we could assume that this could be why some of our request are not met. One thing we know is that when He is dwelling in and with us; our decisions and outcomes are better. By this word today, we are encouraged to Get Close and Stay Close to our God. We can then ask whatever we will , and it shall be given unto us. Have a blessed day!
