Be Washed, Renewed, and Refreshed when we Confess!

It is undeniable how refreshing it feels after washing off your day in the shower or tub.

During the course of your day, you have possibly touched dirty surfaces, been exposed to germs, and all kinds of contaminated things etc. Can you describe in one word how being clean feels to you? I can think of a few things, and it all points to "Feeling BETTER". The water washing everything off naturally makes you feel better than you did before cleansing your body.

Psalms 18:6

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

According to Psalms 18:6, confessing ours sins to God gives us the same refreshing feeling! The difference is, our confession allows God to wash our soul and spirit clean. You walk away feeling cleansed from the inside, and washed of all the sinful things that made you feel dirty or unworthy. You no longer feel bound but now FREE :-)

You no longer feel shame but instead you feel REDEEMED & RENEWED! I can go on and on naming all of the wonderful benefits of confessing and receiving forgiveness from the Lord. God is faithful to forgive us and wash us clean once we confess. So, the only thing that can keep us from this gift is "us." Being in denial, self righteousness, or not wanting to admit our wrongs to ourselves or God; hinders us. He is not going to judge you as others have and would if they knew. All He wants is for us to come to Him; so that He can set us free. Knowing this amazing truth; do not go another day carrying the blemishes and guilt of your sins. Be washed, renewed, and refreshed by confessing your sins today. May you enjoy every benefit and feeling of FREEDOM and REDEMPTION.
