Sometimes we are praying the wrong prayer.
Written By Maranda Kelley

Sometimes we simply don’t pray for the right things. It might sound right to us, but maybe it’s not. Have you ever really wanted a certain house, job, relationship, or amount of money etc. You prayed and believed God for it; all to be disappointed with not getting what you wanted? In our hearts and minds it may seem like the perfect blessing or outcome for us; but it could be totally opposite of what God wants. Only He knows what is best for us.
What if God has a bigger house, a better job, or He knows that you are not ready for certain things yet? Some unanswered prayers were actually protection from harm, and/or prevention from making a big mistake that could cost us way too much. He is a good Father who does everything for a purpose and for our good.
We have to trust His plan.
Luke 22:42
“saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
Jesus went to the garden of gethsemane to pray alone. He was facing something that He did not want to really do. Although He asked God if He could bypass having to go through with it; He still ended His prayer with “nevertheless, not my will, but yours be done.” Be encouraged that God has a perfect plan for you. Pray for His will to be done in your life and watch how your life changes for the better. God bless you!
