Promise Based Prayers!
Written By Maranda Kelley

There are many promises from God to us in the Bible. For instance, in Romans 8:28, God promises that all things will work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. We are all called according to His purpose, and we each have a choice to love Him.
In Isaiah 26:3, God promises to give us perfect peace if we trust in Him. Take some time to read these scriptures to better understand these promises.
It’s important to recognize that you cannot pray for God’s promises if you do not know what they are or lack communication with Him. Without communication with God, it is impossible to fully understand or claim His promises. A good example of praying based on God’s promises can be found in the story of Jacob. In Genesis 28:10-22, God revealed a promise to Jacob in a dream.
In Genesis 28:20-22, Jacob responded to this revelation by praying for what God had promised. He essentially said, “God, if You will be with me, protect me, and provide for me as You promised in the dream, I will serve You and You will be my God.” Jacob didn’t just pray for God’s promises to be fulfilled; he also made a commitment that aligned with God’s will.
This example illustrates how praying for what God has already promised is a reflection of faith and alignment with His will. Because Jacob prayed based on God’s promises, his prayer was answered. He experienced God’s provision, protection, and presence throughout his life.
Pray for the promises of God that you desire to see manifest in your life today. In addition, make a promise to Him as well. Live a life of promises from your Heavenly Father for the rest of your days.
God Bless you!
