40 Days of Prayer! Day 38

Jesus Frequently Prayed to God.

Written By Maranda Kelley

We can make plans for our day, our week, and our lives, but we never know when or how they will happen. The only one who knows everything, even before it happens, is God. The Lord's omniscience, which means "all-knowing," is one wise reason to pray often. Jesus, the Son of the living God Himself, also prayed frequently. Although the Bible does not tell us about every single instance when Jesus prayed, I like to believe that He prayed every day.

Mark 1:35

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.”

Getting up early to pray was a daily practice for Jesus. The prophet Isaiah confirms this in Isaiah 50:4, where it’s states that God would awaken the Messiah every morning to instruct Him. With all of the marvelous things done , and the difficulty things endured by Jesus , it was all accomplished through prayer. What amazing things await us ? What miracles and blessing are ahead? Let’s not neglect to speak with God in prayer early; when there is no distractions. We need to hear from Him and have assurance that He is with us to make some things happen. Be reminded that Jesus prayed daily and did great things. We can also do great things! All things are possible if we believe.

God bless you!
