A Prayer For Your Loved Ones.
Written By Maranda Kelley
Have you ever wanted to see someone else do better, live better, be happier, or be free? Maybe you are a parent who wants to see your children do well in life, make good decisions, and stay safe? You may possibly have a spouse with buried dreams, battles you feel unequipped to help them win, or you know someone that you simply want to see happier and at peace?
Prayer is one of the best, most sincere, and most valuable things you can do for anyone.
I could give so many examples. We all have someone in our lives we want to see succeed, whether it’s your children, spouse, friend, family member, or even a stranger you deem worthy.
When we sincerely care about people, it makes us happy to see them blessed.
Colossians 1:9-12
“9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.”
Hallelujah! After reading this prayer, can’t you see this for your loved one?
Paul loved the church and the people in it. He genuinely and deeply desired for them to grow in their faith and live the victorious life he knew was possible. Paul stood in the gap and prayed on behalf of the Christians in Colossae (the Colossian Church). They were facing false teachings that threatened to lead them astray. Rather than allowing them to become confused and suffer unnecessarily, he prayed for them to develop Godly character and grow in the wisdom and faith of God.
When you see a loved one going down the wrong path, pray this prayer. When you see something wrong, pray. Prayer works, and it changes things!
I pray that these 40 days of prayer have strengthened your faith, increased your knowledge, and deepened your prayer time with the Lord. May God bless you richly!
